Annual PPT Contest at Renuka School 2022
With a spark in their eyes and a joyous step, it’s an absolute joy when we see the students in Govt schools interact with Computers for the very first time. When we had started this journey, 10 years back, we never realized the far reaching impact it would have. This year, when we would be having 4 students finishing their Computer Science Engineering, who had their very first exposure to the computer lab at Renuka school, we feel the journey has gone a full circle.
Through the year, we teach them various elements of Digital Literacy. To build excitement, we conduct an annual Power Point contest for the students to present all their skills and we also encourage them to speak in English. It’s amazing to see the dexterity with which they learn everything and sometimes, some of the features they showcase are an AHA for us as well! At #MyLittleBit, it’s been our attempt to endeavor to ignite the curiosity of the girls and bridge the digital divide.
This year’s contest had topics ranging from Global Warming, Online Learning, Value of Sports, Govt Schools are as good as Pvt., etc. After rounds of evaluation, we finally had the winners identified in a well contested finale. Yesterday, the school hosted an event to give away the awards to all our winners and the participants and it was an immense sense of pride and accomplishment.
Here’s expressing our sincere gratitude to all our donors and friends who’ve kept doing their little bit through the years supporting these underprivileged girls for a brighter future.
