Celebrating Ugadi with PPT Winners at Reddy PU
Here’s sharing some happy updates from #MyLittleBit on the occasion of Ugadi, the New Year’s celebrations in a few states, including mine. Incidentally, ’Yug Adi’ (Ugadi) means the beginning of a new Yuga (year). Let’s begin this new year with a new hope.
This one is at Reddy PU Govt. College at Bangalore. One more year, one more batch of kids and one more opportunity to get their curiosity peeked in our Computer Lab.
We set up this lab 5 years back and we fund the scholarships for higher education of girls along with a Computer Lab for the PU College. Most children get their first brush with computers for the first time, coming from extremely underprivileged circumstances. The digital literacy initiative has continued to gain steam and we did our Annual Power Point contest as always. We had an array of interesting topics for the contest including Farmers & Army are the backbone of the country, Impact of chemical fertilizers on Agriculture, Cyber Crimes, Benefits & Drawbacks of on-line Education, Balance between Health & Money, Teenager problems, etc. Our Computer Teacher takes a lot of pride in coaching the students to use different kinds of functionalities, structure their thoughts and come up and present to the audience. It was a preparation and an event over a three-month period.
We gave away the prizes to the enthusiastic winners and the exemplary participants, who are yearning to take this skill to further their opportunities in life.
Here’s expressing our sincere gratitude to all our donors, especially from Ranka Heights with our Charity Runs and friends who’ve kept doing their little bit through the years supporting these underprivileged girls for a brighter future.
