We are back now with our Uniform and Shoes Donation drive. After the Covid gap, we re-started this and heartening to see the joy in the faces and the twinkle in the eyes from remote and rural schools in Karnataka as underprivileged school children are now getting good quality uniforms. Immense gratitude to all the clothes donations that we receive from the Private schools in Bangalore who’ve partnered with us for years. The needs this year are the highest and we continue in our mission to help with our little bit.

A background to our story: As we know, every year, the school uniforms and shoes get wasted with hardly any avenue to get them utilized or recycled. However, there are a lot of tribal and remote schools (bridge schools/ tent schools) which have children coming in from extremely poor background and not supported by the Government. We help collecting the uniform & shoes from the Private Schools, which are further distributed to the underprivileged children.

Till now, under this initiative, we’ve donated about 55,000 uniforms & 10,000 shoes to more than 40 schools in Karnataka. It brings immense satisfaction to the remote & rural schools to see their children wearing proper uniforms and shoes and there’s a sense of pride for the students as well. We partner with RK Foundation in the segregation and distribution in a programmatic manner.
