Partnering with SKF for Jobs

Updates from #MyLittleBit: A big shout out as 20 of our underprivileged BCom students from Dharmasagara College, get placed in SKF India in the Customer Support automobile division. As a part of our program “Dreams Unlimited” it’s been our endeavor to focus on underprivileged girls as they are finishing their graduation to provide job ready skills and to enter the job stream immediately and gain financial independence. We focus on digital literacy, domain, aptitude and domain skilling over a period of 3 years integrated with the college curriculum to ensure a tight alignment. We grapple with a milieu of problems- The girls have no awareness of opportunities to pursue, they don’t have any role models to look up to, family pressures to get married early and finally they don’t know the dreams they can dream of!

Delighted with the partnership with SKF India, which reached out to MyLittleBit under their Yes Skill Development Program. They conducted a CRM certification program for the graduating students. A rigorous training was done by SKF over a 2-month period through weekdays and weekends, to get the students ready on domain expertise, practical training showing all the parts of the machine, conversing with clients on specific FAQ’s which would be coming. 21 students attended the All-India level Certified Course and wrote the final exam. All 21 students have been offered job from SKF associated dealers and they will be in the work force after finishing their final exams.

Deep gratitude to Jnanaprakash of Sambhav Foundation from #SKF and Suma Prasad from MyLittleBit for their deep passion and perseverance to make this happen.
